Teens Lead at Work
Governor Patrick declares May "Young Worker Safety Month"

Our Strategy
Teens Lead @ Work (TL@W) provides training and advocacy for teen workers to ensure their safety and health in the workplace by:
- Supporting young workers' efforts to research and identify issues of concern to them in the workplace and in their community.
- Creating polished, confident peer educators that are incredibly effective in reaching out and teaching other teens.
- Engaging teens in organizing strategies to address their concerns and foster young worker and environmental justice activists.
- Bringing youth together with their peers to discuss their concerns and to learn about work issues.

Current Efforts
Young Worker Testimonials
This summer, Teens Lead at Work peer leaders will be working on a video campaign. The premise of the video is focused on young worker injuries and other work experiences. The peer leaders will be in the community, interviewing young workers who have been injured on the job as well as other members of the community on their past work experiences as a teenager. This work is important in chronicling the hazards and dangers that young workers face in their jobs. It also captures a need for more training and safety measures to protect young workers.
