What We Do
About MassCOSH
MassCOSH brings together workers and allies to organize and advocate for safe, secure jobs and healthy communities throughout eastern Massachusetts. Through training, technical assistance and building community/labor alliances, we mobilize our members and develops leaders in the movement to end unsafe work conditions.
MassCOSH is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Core Initiatives
Labor Environmental Health Initiative builds successful coalitions between labor and environmental groups to combat environmental health hazards and replace toxic chemicals with safer ones.
Teens Lead at Work engages teens as leaders in educating their peers about their rights and in organizing for safe working conditions.
Union Education and Organizing strengthens the capacity of unions to organize for safe and healthy jobs.
Led by immigrant workers, the MassCOSH Workers’ Center builds the power of immigrants and workers of color to defend their rights to safe, decent working conditions.

MassCOSH engages its members in community-labor-environmental alliances to advocate for priority policies that strengthen workplace safety protections and improve working conditions.s
Workers Memorial Commemoration
Each year on April 28, MassCOSH joins workers around the world in honoring workers killed, injured or made ill by releasing the report, Dying for Work in Massachusetts, and hosting events around the region.
Reports and Educational Materials
MassCOSH produces reports, fact sheets, and press statements on a host of health and safety issues.
